5 Simple Reasons Why marriages Fail

I know there are a bunch of reasons out there, but here are some of the simple yet one of the biggest factors that greatly affect marriages.

I hope this helps you figure out what you need to avoid to have your happy ever after.

1. You and your partner have very few common interests.

Marriage is really about two people who love being around each other.

Most of the time, couples decide to tie the knot because the connection feels so strong—stronger than anything they’ve ever felt with anyone else.

But sometimes, this magic is a myth, and it can expire after months to years soon.

Remember, the most important part of deciding who to marry is to find your playmate.

People who share the same vibe most often share many interests and this type of couple are the most unbreakable.

You see, after that euphoric stage of a relationship, suddenly you can see clearly what type of person you are with.

For example, you realize that your husband or boyfriend doesn't really enjoy what you do; you just thought he was, because he's been trying to get your favor in the beginning of the relationship.

Being with someone you don’t feel connected to, especially when they always prefer spending time with other people, is one of the worst feelings ever

Remember that marriage is a lifetime partnership.

If you lose that spark and your partner just feels more like a family member who doesn’t vibe with you at all,

then can you really call them a partner?

Sure, it might sound a little biased or even too idealistic,

but let’s be real—doesn’t that truth hit home?

This is also the reason why many married people

tend to commit adultery,

because once they meet the better person for them,

whom they share many interests with,

they just can’t resist the chemistry they share.

"Oh it's sad to belong to someone else when the right one comes along🎶" (music on)

I hope many of us can get rid of this kind of situation.

I’m not saying couples with only a few things in common will always fail.

But let’s be real—it does make the relationship harder sometimes.

But of course, if you have a lot of differences with your partner

it can still work.

You’ve just got to work it out together—or at least make the effort to find some common ground.

You both have to make sacrifices and give and take!

Don't be a straight taker,

or just a giver all the time.

It sure is very unhealthy!

And never ever give up easily.

So, if you're someone who has not found your lover yet,

better choose wisely!

Because enjoyment in the company is the key to a lifetime of togetherness.

As what they always say—birds of a feather flock together.

2. Way too familiar—No more Spark

- After being together for a couple of years,

the feeling of being too familiar with each other

may give some couples a feeling of boredom,

thus,

one may tend to find a new spark or a new feeling of excitement with other people,

especially if your partner is a bit immature.

This is a hard and harsh truth, but it’s just a matter of perspective.

For some people,

once they become too familiar with each other,

this gives them a feeling of stability,

They might feel like there’s no one else in the world they’d rather be with than their partner,

to someone they already feel safe with and truly at home.

But sometimes, people just can't help it anymore,

because the relationship isn’t making them happy any longer

as the other person has just revelaed their real color and is unwilling to change for the better.

In that case,

It’s better to go separate ways.

At that point, it just means you can’t meet each other’s needs

Otherwise, this might only lead to a very toxic relationship.

But don’t worry—if what you have right now doesn’t work out,

for sure the right match will come along in the future.

And when it does, it finally will.

It’s better to cry now and feel the hurt for a while

than to spend your whole life crying

and being sad all the way through.

I would like to clarify,

familiarity isn't a bad thing, it all happens to every relationship.

But the thing is, find someone who views it in a positive way.

3. Minds don’t compliment

Let’s face it,

after all the honeymoon stage of partnership or marriage,

we will finally meet our real selves and our partner’s real character, like I mentioned before.

The things that we were willing to overlook before,

are now something we can’t stand anymore.

How worse could that be to be with someone who always goes the opposite way with you, right?

So if you and your partner’s minds couldn't even meet halfway, wouldn’t it be a great turn-off?

I know opposites do attract

but I mean,

how can you still like or love someone who always goes against you and doesn't match your

emotional and mental state?

It's more of a struggle!

It is simply hard.

Now, it is normal to have disagreements

but to disagree with each other on almost everything,

what a great mess could that be?

Sometimes love fades fast when you’re constantly clashing over each other’s wants and likes.

Again for some,

they can manage this situation

but that means both people should be willing to have a lot of adjustments.

If you're not married yet and have this kind of situation,

you might as well want to reconsider this relationship.

But if you're already married,

I hope both of you can compromise.

4. Pride

Everyone has pride. Who doesn’t?

I think this is the main root of every misunderstanding and failed relationship.

This is such a huge topic to talk about.

Perhaps what I want to explain in this part is that,

whenever we have arguments,

may we always choose love over pride.

It should not matter who's the wrong one or not.

Both should drop their pride and compromise.

You could have the best love in the world.

You could love the best.

You could find the best companion with each other,

but if you choose pride over love all the time,

Nothing works  the best for both of you.

However, when you and your partner choose to drop your pride,

both should ALSO make the SIGNIFICANT effort

to show that you really want to be together and make it work.

Do effort; it's not a weakness, rather a strength!

Do it whole-heartedly!

So, whenever you have a big fight or no communication situation,

think about:

1. the value of the person in your life

2. the precious, priceless times you shared together

3. The good things he or she has done

4. The sacrifices you have done for each other

Is pride more important than these?

But we all have our limitations, I know.

Sometimes we carry offenses we just can’t let go of anymore,

And some offenses are no longer tolerable.

Remember to still give some dignity to yourself.

So, when dealing with your relationship issues,

know your boundaries and implement them boldly.

For anyone who wants to stay will find a way and sacrifice.

Make sure you've a good control of who you're going to be

for the rest of your life.

So whenever you're facing relationship trials,

think deeply if the issue is mainly about your pride

or

simply about the other person’s unlovingness anymore.

Just don't settle for way too low because it is going to cost you greatly later.

5. Selfishness

Love is never about being selfish at all; it is the total opposite instead.

I think love was made because people are naturally selfish in their own way.

Love is what makes the whole world round.

And love covers a multitude of sins.

Love binds all.

You are here because someone has loved unconditionally

and compromised at some point.

So, in a world where everyone is focusing only on themselves, their career, and everything for their own benefit,

love has come to bind people together.

But if the flow of the relationship is filled with your partner’s selfishness,

I just don’t think he/she is still worth keeping.

According to the bible,

"Love is not self-seeking."

So when one person feels completely drained,

like they’re always giving but getting less to nothing back,

that’s when the relationship starts breaking down.

Of course,

this is a big turn-off.

No one deserves a very selfish partner.

This is such a heavy burden to carry on with the rest of your life.

And no matter how big the love is at the beginning,

in most cases,

if it is not reciprocated well

it could fail for good.

I hope that you can check which of these reasons might affect you in the future.

And do your best to avoid them so you can have

a better,

loving,

and successful relationship ahead.
